National Reintegration Center for OFWs (NRCO) Director IV Gerald “Dindi” Tan together with RWO 8 Regional Director, Ma. Evangelina V. Filamor, OIC, Chief, Programs and Services Division, Juliet Z. Tan, NRCO Regional Coordinator, Catherine O. Doblon and the rest of the OWWA RWO 8 team conducts monitoring and released livelihood and scholarship checks to different OWWA-NRCO program availees from February 17-19, 2021.

During the three (3) day visit of NRCO Director IV, Gerald “Dindi” Tan, three (3) Tulong Puso grantee from region 8 including the group of Catbalogan Overseas Workers and Families Association, Basey OFWs and Families Organization, Ormoc City OFWs Association who each received a total grant of Php500, 000.00 was able to discuss the challenges and breakthrough they have faced during the implementation of their proposed businesses The businesses of these organizations, like Water Refilling Station, Pedicab Transport Service and Whole Sale Trading, respectively are now fully operational and are now generating income.

Director Dindi also graced a radio interview with MsFM 105.3 during her visit in Catbalogan City, where she thoroughly discussed the different programs and services of DOLE-NRCO-OWWA.

The OWWA-NRCO team also joined DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III and OWWA Administrator Hans Leo J. Cacdac at Superdome, Ormoc City on February 19, 2022 during the distribution of the livelihood assistance to the beneficiaries of Balik Pinas, Balik Hanapbuhay Program (BPBH), Special Livelihood Project for Household Service Workers and other Overseas Filipino Workers OFWs (SLP-HSW Plus) and ELAP-Livelihood. Scholars under Educational Development Scholarship Program (EDSP) and OFW Development Scholarship Program (ODSP) also received their financial assistance.




Financial Relief Assistance Program (FRAP) beneficiaries were present as well during the release of financial aid to meet with DOLE Secretary Silvestre Bello III and  OWWA Administrator, Hans Leo Cacdac.
